Colloquimum on BEIGE, PURPLE, RED Levels of Development

We will be starting a new series this month. The first meetings of the month will be dedicated to discussions of a (or a few) of the Spiral Levels. One of the things which prompted the idea was some feed back from meetings in both Dayton and Cinci which could be expressed as ?great we now know the theories how can we make use them in real life??. This brings up ideas such as Skillful Means, Effective Communications and the Conveyor Belt (note Ken recently said Escalator may be a better term).

This first meeting in the series will be lead by Larry Wells M. Div., MSW, CADC. He will be leading a discussion on BEIGE, PURPLE and RED levels of development. It is expected that we will focus on RED as this level of thinking is a significant factor relative to the violence in world in which we live. In Larry?s words:

?My immediate thought is to look at RED as we can easily recognize it in the world and how the U. S. might deal with it. But then shift to the more difficult issues of: 1) dealing with "RED people" we know or encounter; AND, 2) when and how to appropriately access RED in ourselves.?
